I am a new one in a Mac world.

How can I create a .mac email? MobileMe?

.Mac is now called MobileMe.

Go to http://www.apple.com/mobileme/ and create a free trial.

It is a yearly subscription if you do enjoy the trial and want to continue using the features.

Duff-man says...not exactly sure what you mean by that. Of course you'll no longer be able to access that address, and any email that *you've left on Apple's MobileMe servers* will be deleted...however....if you decide not to subscribe you can certainly copy the messages you've sent/received into a local folder on your computer so that you still have them....oh yeah!
