Mac enviroment on 120hu + displays

hallo guys, i have to switch from ipad pro to macbook pro ( M1) I very like pro motion display so i would like to buy 120hz or 144 hz as external display with macbook. Is there visible difference in mac enviroment? Scrolling pdf documents, moving windows , especially i dont like ghosting on my macbook during scrolling pdf documents. What are your experiences? thanks for answer
