i am a PC user... waiting for my 1st imac to be delivered... i use this software on my PC which is call ConvertXtoDVD which basically converts any format into DVD creating means and chapters automatically ...

is there some thing similar on mac???

Yep iDVD, it lets you create chapters and menus with music etc and then burn it to the DVD. It works really well. Its part of iLife it should be on the Mac especially if you're buying it new.

great ! would iDVD convert ANY popular video format... e.g i have a avi file would it take that as input and convert it into DVD ? thanks

Actually, while i love both of these, I'm pretty sure Burn and VisualHub won't create chapters automatically, and I don't know about Titanium.

MPEGStreamclip will convert, but not sure about the chapters parts there either.

Really it's only two steps....not that bad is it?

yes u are right i dont think its that bad i gues we can live with that :)
 
ok i am trying to do this in Toast , all my vidoes are in PAL format avi or mpg ...

i have my setting set to NTSC on audio& video in preference menu .. regardless of any video i try to make DVD it keep saying CANNOT PLAY THIS DVD in all my players ... do i need to do some thing else too in order to write out a NTSC DVD using a PAL avi or mpg file ?
