Hi,

I have a list of numbers written in Excel. I don't want to waste hours to count to count the numbers to have 250 as a result. My question is I want to have 250 as a result and i want to know which numbers sum together with which number to have 250. Like a+b+ ... +x = 250.

Thank you for your help.

Hmm I don't know that there is a way to do this totally without macros. But here might be a slight workaround.

Have in a column to the right of the list a cumulative sum of all the numbers that have come in the rows above. Then apply conditional formatting to that column that says if the number is above 250, make the text white. The final visible number will be the correct one.

thank you for your fast answer blevins. Maybe I didn't explain well because of my bad english.

In a formular 250 is known number but I want to know the unknown numbers. And those numbers will be highlighted or move to a separate list.
