Hi all, i'm getting ready to pull out my hair im so pissed off. Excel crashed on me and now it wont open the workbook i was working on when it crashed. its says excel cannot open this file, the file might have benn damaged or changed from it original format.

Its in .xslx and hasn't changed. however the icon has (doesn't look like other excel files. When it crashed it saved an empty workbook in my documents 9B2F700. What can i do in retrieving the file?. Im at work so haven't tried it on a windows office but will do when i get home. :(:(:(

Thanks

Hey thanks, but i cant find a freeware one. Not really looking to pay $27 for something that i probably wont use again.

Does anyone on here have a one of these programs and wants to help a fellow mac user? Please:apple::):apple:

Everything sorted. There's a repair feature in excel but i had to go back to windows to do it. Oh well at least i got my work back. Thanks for the input guys
