Hey everyone,
I recently installed Fan Control (Mac) on my Unibody Late 2008 Macbook 2.4 (Basically a Macbook Pro). However, i didn't really use it, so I uninstalled it according to directions found on this forum (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/646711/)
However, my computer seems to be running at a higher fan speed than the default, as my battery life has seemed to decrease and I sense a louder noise from the fan area since I installed the software. When using istat pro, I am registering a fan speed around 2000, which is what I was getting since I bought the machine new.
Is it possible that the firmware is still using Fan Control's settings, which is making my fan speed run faster, but register at the defaults? Any insight into this is appreciated!
Thanks!
(PS, also, how many fans does the late 2008 Macbook 2.4 have?)
