Mac Folder Getting Very Large

When I click to any folder, it opens but extended way than needed. Like if I click to a folder 'koushik' in list VIEW the size in which it opens is much bigger(extended) than needed. When I drag it gets squized but again I click it opens in an extended manner. It only creates some problem in LIST VIEW not in THUMBNAIL or DETAILS.

It comes like this

I neen it should come like this in LIST view.

I think there is some application problem. Some file I have to install I think so. What do u think?
Please help me fast.
