I love mac forums for the iPhone but it's sometimes annoying when it does not work 100% at all times. So I was wondering if it wild be worth asking for an app for MacRumours, for the iPhone?

Maybe if it took up less memory than safari and the pages loaded faster.
Either way, I'd still get it.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5H11 Safari/525.20)

I use it all the time. My only request is the display post order. I prefer DESC but it keeps going back to ASC. I am logged in and when on my PC it is always DESC. Anybody know how to set the default in the mobile version.

If anything they just need to make mobile internet version optimized specifically for the iPhone. An application would be overkill.

There's already a version like that.
Go to the new post section and in the bottom left corner there's an option of three different displays to choose from in a drop down box.

This should be easy. Start with the front page (it uses RSS already, so just grab the RSS feed, easy!) and the forums, just build a menu system with all the top level divisions of the forums, then click into the divisions of that division, then click into the divisions of that division. Clicking that takes you to the forums itself in-app using Safari.

Make the divisions and stuff client-side so you don't have to load it, and when the forums are updated, just push out a update to the app - this should be easy because the forum divisions aren't changed often.

Once that done, add in Forum Spy in-app, and after that figure out how to iPhone and App-ize all the forums and threads down to the posts.

The beginning should be VERY easy, and the second part can be a bit difficult, but easier once the foundation has already been set.

Easy, of course, unless you don't know how to code. Like me. :(
