So, my MBP froze and forced me back to the login screen. When I logged back in, it restarted the programs I had open, but my desktop also showed three Flashplayer drive icons. I have not downloaded Flash recently, nor have I clicked on one of those fake ads telling me I need to update. I immediately ejected them. Now things seem to be moving kind of slow (at least in Chrome)...

Was this a freak thing or do I need to be worried?

What were you doing when it did this? You probably have Adobe Flash set to Auto Update, which can be annoying. What I suspect happened was that it ran the install and rebooted without you knowing... It may have been a glitch that you were not informed of the impending reboot until it was too late.

It may be a freak thing. Try repairing permissions - it usually can't hurt.
