Hello Everyone,
I am writing to see if anyone can help me. I have a friend who has a MAc G5 1.6Ghz Computer and he wants to add wireless capabilities to it.
I have a few things I need to clarify with Macintos as my experience is mainly in the PC Relm and the last time I did anything with Apple Macintosh was getting them working in a Novell 3.12 environment.
1) Can I use a wireless USB key that works on PC on the MAC or is there a special USB key for Apple Macintosh.
2) Is there any dependencies on the router/Access point that the computer talks to ie does it have to be Aironet or is the Mac Happy talking in a Cisco, Liknsys, Dlink World etc.
I am also guessing that the mac is comfortable in an IP world and doesnt rely on apple talk any more is this assumption correct.
If there is any information that I can read to get me on my way it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
