Mac Gmail won't send attachements over a certain size

I am having issues sending attachments through my Gmail mac mail. The file I tried to send was only 23kb so I know that it was not over the limit. It sat there in the outbox for about 15 seconds and then said it cannot send it on the server. It has done this to me before with larger files that still should have been sent.

I go to my Yahoo account and it sends the same files with ease...

Do I have my settings screwed up?? Thanks for anyone's help!

That's most likely the issue. Look up Google's settings.
