Hi, I've been using bootcamp to play some windows games on my late 2013 13'' MacBook pro and today I was unable to switch back to MacOS. I am able to pull up the startup manager and there is 3 options, Windowns, MacOS Installation, and Mac HD. I let my mac restart without pulling up the manager and it started to install macos (for some reason I think that may be default, idk why or how), but I quickly canceled it. Then I selected the Mac HD and it starts to load, but once it hits 90-95% the screen goes fully black and my laptop it off.

Did I accidently overwrite my whole Mac hard drive when my mac started to install MacOS again? If I go through with the MacOS Installation will that fully overwrite everything or is that the only way getting back into the Mac partition?

thanks

I booted up in recovery mode and the internal disk has 3 options;

Macintosh HD (16gb)
Macintosh HD - DATA (426gb)
Bootcamp

I believe the Data one is my main one. Is the other MacHD the new install that was started?
