Mac iBook on Network with PC

Hi,

I have connected my iBook via a wireless connection to my PC (XP). I can access the iBook from my PC but I can not access my PC from the iBook.

I have tried Finder -> Network -> Workgroup -> "pc name" and click connect I get the SMB Authentication prompt but the finder crashes on me.

I am trying to access hard drives formatted in NTFS format, is this an issue?

If not can anyone suggest a resolution?

Try selecting Connect To Server from the Go menu and typing smb://PC's IP address into the accompanying window. Do you get anywhere now?

NO difference still crashes

Okay, well set up a new user account on the Mac and see if you can connect to it from there.
