I am the manager at a small computer repair shop and a cotumer has brought me a mac ibook g4. I run linux and we mostly work on windows machines. This is our first mac...I'm at a loss! It boots to the gray apple screen and the spinning gears turn and it freezes there. The costumer has no disks of any kind. I tired running sfck and this did not fix the problem. Every where I read online talks about restore disks, any where I can get those?
Like I said, I'm at a loss any and all help would be much appreciated!!

Apple website? Or order by phone? I have tried both....and might i say apple costumer service by phone is a frusatrating experience!

That depends on your country, and I never had to do it. Many have success with phoning Apple.
What about that Target Disk Mode I hinted at? Or do you have to repair the iBook?
Do you have any Apple Stores or Apple Authorised Dealerships or Repair Centres in you area?
