Was reading about Micrografx Picture Publisher, and there was an ad for Mac Informer Client. Accidentally clicked it but pretty sure nothing downloaded.

Is it a virus? Is my Mac okay?

It was not a virus, it was just an ad.
Currently there are zero viruses affecting Mac OS X in public circulation, but there are other kinds of malware existing, that can infect your Mac.
AV software is not needed if you employ the proper security steps on your Mac.
To learn more about malware in Mac OS X and what steps can be taken to protect yourself, read the following F.A.Q., which you have been linked to at least three times in the past 120 threads of yours:

PS: It says the following about Mac Informer here:
Mac Informer is a great tool to keep your system always up to date. It scans your computer and finds all the applications that you have installed.

Thanks!

Also, what would entering an IP:

84.198.236.59

Into the URL bar do to my Mac? I copied it by accident, pasted what I thought was something else into my Chrome bar and started connecting to that IP.

It would bring to the associated domain, nothing more. And is currently down anyway. Have you read that Virus/Malware FAQ yet, as it has been advised four times already?
