Hi guys,
I do not have a mac yet and I am planning on switching to a macbook for Christmas. I truly like the online .Mac service and I think the 100$ are a good investment. Now here is my problem: I am a foreign exchange student from Germany and I heard that .Mac in Europe is very slow. But since I purchased and set my .Mac account up in the US (and will be stored on US servers) I won't be affected by the "speed limit", right?
(You can google the "speed limit" in Europe if you don't know what I'm talking about)
Also, if I buy a .Mac box in a retail store to extend my .Mac membership in Germany will it work and successfully make my membership longer?

Those are my questions... thank you

P.S.: This is my first post! Go :apple: :)
