Mac is so slow after 10.6.6 update

Something caused this, not sure what. More beachballs. Firefox is much slower, stuttering, etc. How do I fix this?
 
I had same issue with beachballing. Repaired all my permissions and used ONYX to clean up the system and things are back to normal for me.
