Mac LC page flipping hardware

I seem to recall that one of the LC models had a custom video chip that included some sort of hardware page flipping support.

Is this ringing bells for anyone? I'm trying to track down the reasons for it's non-support in DrawSprocket.

Ancient history, I know.
