I've been searching all night and have yet to find out what is going on. I'm trying to block websites on the administrator user of my computer through the hosts file as I've done for quite some time now. Suddenly it seems as though the hosts file is being ignored. A simple line such as 127.0.0.1 Facebook.com does nothing. Facebook opens fine. I've cleared the dns cache I've rebooted the computer. I don't know what else to check. If I make something up google.something and type that into a browser it seems to check the hosts file. But not for something like Facebook.com if anyone can give me any guidance I'd love to hear it. Thank you.
