Hi,
All of my music has been purchased through iTunes, so everything is in m4p format (protected). While this is fine for my iPod and iTunes, none of my songs will play on my PS3 (using MediaLink). It really sucks that I can't even stream my music I purchased to a downstairs TV.
Anyway, enough complaining. I'm playing around with M4P Converter, and I've converted several M4P's to MP3. Before I purchase the software, I'd like your opinions.
When all the files have been converted, they're placed in a new directory. I REALLY REALLY don't want to re-organize my entire library and recreate all new playlists if I convert everything to MP3 format.
So...is there a way within iTunes to make this easy? Is there any way I can tell iTunes to use the mp3's instead of the m4p's within all of my playlists? I guess I could import each playlist directory created from M4P Converter, into my playlists...then show all duplicates...then manually remove the m4p's.
I'm not very good in iTunes, so I'm hoping for suggestions on how I can better organize my library and avoid duplication.
Many thanks,
Gary
