*edit- please pardon the typo. the title should say "mac mail is not..."
i just bought a new macbook and transfered EVERYTHINGGGG over from my powerbook to the macbook during setup.
while in mac mail on the macbook, i searched a word and only 4 msgs came up. i knew this couldnt be right so i searched it on the powerbook and came up with a bunch of other results. to verify that those emails had properly transferred, i manually searched for them on the mac book and they WERE in my inbox. so... why isnt my mac mail locating all msgs in the search function?
and more importantly, how can i fix it??
**also might be important to add. this is my work email address and not a gmail or hotmail (etc) account. the work email server automatically deletes anything older than 30 days off of it. the email i was looking for was NOT older than 30 days. i also tested the mac mail search results by using a keyword that would likely appear in msgs older than 30 days... and they DID show up. it's like my search function only pulls up whatever it feels like pulling up. brat! hah.
