I am pulling out what little hair I have with this new Mail 4.2. Two particular issues are very troubling for me.
1. When the application is searching for mail it shows that it is downloading messages which never appear in any mailbox including the junk mailbox. Whatever the messages are they are not even showing up on my Gmail accounts which are accessed via Mail. Is it actually downloading something or are these just annoying little "ghosts"? Who knows. At least one person has told me that they have had mail bounced from my address since I started using 4.2.
2. There are mailboxes listed in the sidebar of Mail (on the left) below "Mailboxes", "RSS", and "On My Mac". These show numbers next to them and a list of folders below them. There is one for each account, and yet when it shows that there are 39 somethings in the folders none of the folders display anything when I click on them.
I was very satisfied with the earlier versions of Mail and would love to continue using the new one if I can get these things worked out. Anyone have any thoughts on this??
Thanks
