Hi,

when i hit "reply all" or "reply" when a message comes in, right below the blinking cursor, is the beginning of the message I am replying to. my question is, can I set it so that there are a few spaces below where i start typing? I cant seem to find anything in preferences:

eg

hi ron,

There's no way to do this in the Mail preferences, but you may be able to edit the language localization for "On ___, ___ wrote:" to add extra space before. I'll see if I can find it somewhere in the localization files.

Edit: Nope. I found the string, but editing the appropriate bit causes Mail to crash on launch. In Leopard, it's in:

/System/Library/Frameworks/Message.framework/Versions/B/Message

I'd suggest resigning yourself to using the Return key.
