mac mail and proposed email addresses

In mac mail when you write an email address a scroll list appears as you type of equivalent email addresses.

In my case this list contains incorrect addresses that I would like to remove.

I have checked in the address book but the email addresses there are correct.

Anyone know where mac mail stores this information so I can remove the incorrect addresses.
