Mac Mail App Sync Issue with Gmail

Hello,

So I've noticed that the number of messages in my inbox, for my mac mail app, is about 1000 more than the number of messages in my Gmail web account.

Is this an issue with syncing? And how can I fix this?

If you're getting mail and you have Gmail set up as IMAP, then it's not likely a sync issue. Check these settings:

I've checked, and my settings are exactly as the ones you posted.
