Mac Mail crash

All of a sudden my Mac mail app will not stay open longer than 10 secondsand then disappears from monitor. What to do? Can I reload this from my
OS (Panter) discs?
How?
Big inconvience, please help.

I think you can just re-install from the disk. Did you install any updates or do anything weird before this started?
