I'm transitioning to my new rMBP (2.6, 16gb, 256 ssd) from my 2009 17" mbp with 500gb internal HD.
I love the Retina MBP! but I had to opt for the smaller ssd in order to afford the ram and cpu upgrade. Soooo.... I'm trying to free up some space and it looks like Mail is taking up 40 gigs on my new ssd! All I did was set up my Gmail IMAP account and it started this massive download of every message I've ever sent or received since 2005.
The worst part is, when I try to erase the old emails they just get downloaded again a few seconds later.
I'm sure there's an easy solution, but I can't seem to find it. Any clues? Thanks!
