mac mail filter assistance

Hi i was after a little help with mail. I'm trying to make mail only display email from certain address in my inbox. I have tried using a smartbox but i still have the email in the generic inbox.

Basically i have a tech challenged dad and just want him to see email from 2 specific address and not eliminate the chance of getting confused.

Any help would be much appreciated. I tried rules but that that is a long winded process to exclude all the other address. If there was one such as only display xxx address' that would be great.
