Mac mail + gmail spam settings

Is there a way from the Mail app to mark something in the spam folder as "not spam", with a gmail IMAP?

I don't believe this is possible - the IMAP protocol does not support spam-related commands at all. I have the exact same problem, and I just use the web interface to do stuff like this. I also have to do this for my other webmail.
