.Mac Mail Help- Multiple E-mails Sent

Recently, I suppose in the last few weeks, every time I send an email from my .mac e-mail address from the Mail application on my desktop, the receiver complains of recieving the same e-mail multiple times (like around 4-5 e-mails within 5 minutes).

Is there anything I can do to fix this? Any reasons why the mail application is sending the same e-mail out multiple times?
