mac mail :: Junk/spam problems

hi there, in the past half an hour my mac mail has been reloading lots and lots of old spam emails.

I have a pop gmail account setup, ive not got this account setup to imap, just the gmail pop settings for mac mail. Some of it is going to the junk box and some of it to my inbox, its getting annoying cos it keeps loading like 250 every time it checks for mail and they seem from all different dates.

Any ideas?

If you don't want Mail to repeatedly download messages, then set the client to delete your messages from the server after you download them.

You could try setting up the account again and see if that makes a difference.
