Mac Mail - Mountain Lion

Hi all,

I am new to Mac, I have recently set my mail accessing my Hotmail address. I would like to know if there is any chance to only download my emails within 3 month, rather then everything in my hotmail address.

I don't know if this will work for Hotmail or not but I used to do it back when we had Earthlink. Go to Hotmail using your browser and move everything except the last 3-months mail out of the Inbox into another folder. Then launch Mail and get your mail from your Hotmail account. If this works like Earthlink did then you'll only get the mail that's in the Inbox which should be the last 3-months worth.
