Mac Mail on Intel Mac and Earthlink

I wouldn't think that there's any reason why an Intel Mac would impede these. However I used the server settings earthlinks website says to use. I have no problem receiving email, it's sending that always gives me the server not available crap.

The out going it tells me to use is smtpauth.earthlink.net, but it won't work.
 
Nevermind, Earthlinks "handy" article on their website managed to neglect a small detail. All works fine now.
 
was it the pop port?

Was it the SMTP port, smtpauth requirements, what was it?
