I have have had my OSX 10.5.8 system for close to a year now with no problems until about a week ago. The Mac Mail 3.6 no longer sends or receives mail. I have been on line with my server 5 or 6 times and we go in and check the basic settings in mail preferences but they are of little help. So for the tome being I am stuck recovering my email directly from the server. Does anyone have any suggestions?

If you're still having this problem, then it might be worth using the Connection Doctor feature of Mail (access through the Mail->Window->Connection Doctor sequence). Selecting that and enabling the Show Detail option might provide some clues as to what is happening.
