I use Mac Mail on my Laptop as well as access the same email account from my iPhone and soon to be iPad. Because I try to be very organized, I am constantly filing my emails into my "On My Mac" folders - the added benefit is that I don't run out of space in my company online account. The issue is that when I am not on my laptop, such as using my iPhone or eventually my iPad, I can't "file" these emails as I read them, because they get filed into my "On My Mac" folders. This leaves me with a bunch of re-reading to do when I do get back on my laptop so that I can file the emails I've already read on my iPhone. My solution was to create a matching set of folders on my "online" account which would then show up in all email clients regardless of access method. I could then file them in the online folders and only have to read them once while I was mobile. I then thought I would write a Rule or a Script to move them from Folder A "online" to Folder A "on my mac" automatically when I opened my Mac Mail on my laptop. The issue is that I can't seam to figure out how to do that, any thoughts?
