Hey

I was wondering if someone can help me with Mac Mail.

I receive a lot of e-mails - mostly from University:rolleyes:, MacRumors (thread subscriptions;)), and Jobs I've applied for  - then there's all the other e-mails I get from friends and internet orders..ect..ect.

Is there anyway to create a folder or mailbox for each Uni, MacRumors, Jobs, and Purchases?? Where the e-mail will come through but go into the folder, without appearing in the main Mailbox where my 'general' e-mails will be kept?

Hope it makes sense.

Thanks for any help and information.

I'm not sure if a smart mailbox will prevent it from showing up in the inbox, but you could create a regular mailbox (essentially a folder) from the Mailbox menu, then create a rule for it.

Go to Preferences, then Rules.

Add a Rule, and the options should be pretty self-explanatory.
