Mac Mail Server and Outlook Compatibility

Hi there. I'm working at a school system and we're upgrading the servers to mac. We were going to see if we could run Mac Mail Server and need to find out if the computers running the Outlook client will notice a difference, or even be able to use the Mac Mail server.

I did some research on this. They will function fine as just email clients. There is however no support for shared calendars / contacts like there was in exchange. Maybe when the next server os comes out but that aint tomorrow.

Is there possibly a plug-in that will allow for shared calendars and contacts?(I'm continuing searching as we type.)

Not for OSX that works easily. If you are running exchange now I would leave it up and continue using it. It is almost impossible to duplicate on an OSX server at this time. Maybe when Leapord Server comes out it might have the features but only Steve knows.
