Hi MacRumors,
I am currently facing an issue setting up email clients on our macs.
I first tried setting up the mail using the configuration file for Mac Mail which I downloaded from my cPanel hosting provider. The configuration file seemed to install OK but when opening Mail I seem to be faced with a timeout error.
My first instinct was our firewall/network but after trying on my Windows laptop it seems to send/receive mail just fine. I spoke to the guys that deals with our network and they told me nothing in the network/firewall should be stopping us sending mail this way.
I installed Thunderbird and manually entered the details and again I am facing a timeout error.
I have tried this on both a G4 and iMac computers.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
