Mac Mail: Want to Compose in a different font than viewing

Aloha,

There is a font that I like that when I compose a message I would like to be the default font.

The problem is, I don't want to view all the messages in my mailbox with this font.

Within Mail Prefs->Fonts and Colors->Message Font, I was able to change the message that I compose in, BUT it also changes the font for all the messages.

Any work around? I haven't been able to find anything....and no I won't use Entourage....isn't that implied by me being on this forum? hahaha
