This may not be new news, but I figured I'd share it. National Geographic has released a Mac version of their Topo software. While it doesn't have the functions of something like DeLorme Street Atlas, it seems like a step in the right direction.

They also make a product called Back Roads, which is more focused on people who need street maps. When I inquired about its availability for the Mac, this is the reply I got.
"I believe our developers are looking at doing a Mac version of Back Roads later this year. I suggest you check our site for updated information, www.nationalgeographic.com/topo"
Which is great news. While DeLorme had some cool features, the software, in my opinion, really was quite poor. Hopefully these new Mac products will get good mapping software back on the map.
