Mac Media Player with Boss Key?

Does anyone know of a Media Player for Mac which includes a "Boss Key" (a key which will minimise and pause the playback while playing)?

VLC 2.0.2 does have a hotkey option, however, I cannot get it to function. I used to have it working on Windows, and I know The KM Player on Windows has the function too (press Esc).

Does anyone know of any media players which includes this function?

Quicktime. The "boss key" is Apple-Q. Really. Assuming you're on Lion, it'll auto-resume, so that's all you need.

I have ended up using MPlayerX along with BetterTouchTool so I can click on the bottom right hand side of my trackpad and that will run CMD-Q, which minimises it. It will also auto-resume!
