Hello

I have a friend who downloaded Messenger for Mac (for free) and it works ok for him but he is unable to video chat. My question is: if i bought mac messenger with Microsoft office, compared to the free downloadable version, does it offer extra features? is it almost identical to the windows live messenger interface? can the webcam be used along with the other basic features found in windows live messenger?

Thanks

There is no paid version of Messenger. The current and all previous versions of Messenger did not support video chatting. The next version, Messenger 9.0, that is currently in development supports video chatting. There is, however, a third-party solution. aMSN supports video chatting on the Mac.
