iPod Mac migration

I have just tranferrerd the contents of my old imac onto my new macbook pro 2.2ghz. when I try to open up the music file on the laptop there is a red minus symbol and a message that says I can't open it as I do not have specific access privleges. how do I get my music open on the macbook?

If you have an admin account you can right click > Get Info > and change the permissions. At the bottom of the window change "You can" to "read and write". You may need to authenticate.
