Hello,

I'm installing windows 7 on my Mac mini so I have an easier time playing games. I have a windows 7 product key which I'm free to use until next year, and I've been trying to install it for a while now. The iso is from the dreamspark site, so its official Microsoft. I'm installing from a 16gb USB 3 and from what I can tell windows 7 doesn't play along too nicely with USB 3.

At the moment I get stuck after pressing the 'install now' butoon, a dialog appears saying a required CD/DVD driver is missing, and gives me the option to browse for the driver.

After doing some googling, I found win 7 doesn't have USB 3 drivers, and all I have >4gb at the moment is the one USB 3 stick. I found a site that linked to the Intel USB 3.0 extensible host controller driver zip folder, which I downloaded and put on a ms-fat formatted USB 2.0 stick. After trying the install again I browsed to the USB 2 stick and found the drivers, clicked next so they can install... It failed. I now get s dialog saying 'No new device drivers could be found. Make sure the driver files are correct and located on the correct driver installation media'.

So I guess they weren't the right drivers, and now I have no idea what to do. Note that before Yosemite came out I had windows 8.1 installed on bootcamp, and remember the long laborious process of installing the windows 8 iso from dreamspark, waiting for it to update, before installing windows 8.1 on top. Id really rather not deal with installing windows 8 or 8.1 again, so any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
