Hey there,

I have a question on the 2012 Mac Mini with i7-3615QM. How does it compare to a mid 2014 13" MBP with i5-4278U? I am thinking to get such a Mac Mini 2012 since it has a quadcore compared to my MacBook. Is it worth it or would you all advice against it? I think about it since the dualcore in my 13" is not that fast in larger Xcode projects. Especially if I run the same project on a 15" model the difference is pretty much noticeable. On the other hand, I really am struggling with it because the machine is relatively old. What do you think about it?

Thanks for your thoughts!

Best,

2012 mini will smoke the 2014 mini when it comes to processing power.

You can also easily upgrade the hdd and ram.
