I installed Bootcamp on my 2012 Mac Mini and now I'm wondering if I should update the graphics driver for the Intel HD 4000 integrated GPU. Bootcamp obviously installs the appropriate driver, but Windows Update shows an "optional" update for thee Intel HD 4000 GPU. And the Intel site seems to have an update, as well.

Should I stick with the Bootcamp driver or should I install one of the available graphics updates? If I do, will I see improved graphics performance, especially in games?

Should be fine, I'm not sure how uptodate the bootcamp drivers are, but it gets you in a good place and whatever updates come along should be okay.
but if it aint broke no need to update it.

I suggest getting the updated one from either Intell's site or Windows Update. The Apple one isn't overly special, it's just what was out when Apple built the driver bundle. You may see some increased gaming performance with the new drivers.

I always update it with the installer from Intel. Both windows update and bootcamps drivers are woefully out of date.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I've downloaded the one from the Intel site. I'll see how it works out.

I have an Macmini i5 dual core with AMD graphics card and it runs two screens nicely. I have now got a 2012 i7 quad core Macmini with Intel graphics card - it won't give me the option of running two screens. Is there an issue with the driver for the Intel graphics card on the better Macmini? Help needed!!
