I’ve installed Catalina using Internet Recovery to an external USB 3.0 SSD however since doing so the external
SSD will not boot automatically, so I have to go to the boot loader screen at startup and select the SSD to boot.
Once booted into MacOS if I plug in another USB 3.0 hard drive, it is not detected and does not mount.
However if I boot from the internal drive to MacOS both external USB 3.0 drives are mounted on the desktop correctly.
I feel like Catalina has messed up the EFI somehow as this setup was working correctly with Mojave.
Any thoughts?
