Hi guys, I'm noticing that some of the newer TVs out there don't have VGA ports on them anymore, so i'm looking to get an adapter cable for the mini-displayport to HDMI. So I was wondering if my mini supports audio over mini-displayport. Thanks

You could hook up the Mac Mini to the TV's 3.5 mm Audio Out via the Mac Mini's 3.5 mm audio out. Get a Male to Male cable.

Keep in mind that the line out will only get you stereo audio. I use mine as an HTPC, so optical digital does 5.1 if you've got the audio system to match.

Ehh. Stereo is sufficient for most users.

To quote that fantastic move Under Siege 2 : "Assumption is the mother of all **** ups.". :D

Mini-DP supplies digital audio, therefore an optical cable is the equivalent interconnect.
