Mac Mini and Fan Noise

Just heard my Mac mini fan get really loud or I think that's the fan. Any Mac mini owner or anyone know if this normal. I haven't paid much attention cause my music volume is always up and its late now so the the volume is turned down.

If you do something CPU intensive for long enough to cause the insides of the machine to get very warm the fan will kick in. It's nothing to worry about. If you want to monitor your CPU usage Activity Monitor in your Utilities folder can show you overall CPU usage, as well as per process (amongst a whole lot of other things).

Check out Temperature Monitor if you are worried (report the temps in Celsius, though).

But I wouldn't be. The Mini isn't fan-less... it just is 'doesn't use the fan a lot'
