I’m considering getting a base model Mac mini with a ultra wide screen and later a gaming PC to replace my 2012 iMac. Does anyone have experience with the Mac Mini and ultra wide display, are they able to power one for you?

I have a mac mini with a samsung 34" and runs 4k. 16 megs of ram is better to have, although I purchased an external GPU from AMD 5700Xt and running in razor box and works like a charm. I don't have the model of monitor since I'm at another location at the moment.

Been using the Dell U3818DW and LG 38uc99 for the past 18 months or so with no issues.

I run a LG 34WL850-W at 3440x1440 off the Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655 in my 13" MBP, I'm sure you'll be fine.

I, too, run a LG 34” display with my base 2018 mini. No problems whatsoever. I throughly enjoy it when watching movies. I don’t play games, though.

The combination works very well with programs like Cubase or iMovie but I think the integrated video is far more capable than what my needs require.
